Landscape is usually Britt's starting point. The environment in which we live shapes our lives and is capable of emotional impact. To the human eye landscape is immediately familiar and relatable affording expressive potential. Sometimes embarking on a new work she has a clear destination and sometimes not. Trying not to be too prescriptive, she keeps an open dialogue with the emerging imagery, always looking to create an emotional charge.
