Emily Boldry’s work explores the imprint of the emotive figure in its environment. Boldry explores how experimental printing processes such as etched lino can elicit surprising textures and marks resulting in expressive abstract forms. She is also interested in pushing the boundaries of lino print and dry point, working directly on to plates, carving, and mark-making spontaneously which lends a fluid immediacy to her work. She is a member of East London Print Studio and has exhibited with them at their Festival of Print in 2021 and 2022. Her work has also been featured in the publications Off the Mainstream and Under the Bridge.
