Karen Thomas is acclaimed for her pop-culture figures and loosely dynamic painting style, reconstructing well-known characters' identities with wild expressionism. 'Really big fast matchbox', is an original screenprint with a vigorous and instinctive line from a series of works around matchbox cars. ‘No Country for Old Women’, Karen’s first series of original screenprints was shown at WCPF in 2022. Karen Thomas has recently presented 'Silver Screen', a solo show at Agnès B, Montpellier, and has previously exhibited at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, The Other Art Fair, Zebra One Gallery, Red Propeller Gallery, Unit 1 Gallery, Tart Gallery London, and Artonapostcard. She is currently resident at Ateliers Tropisme, Montpellier, France.
