Jonathan’s painting practice is often composed of a contemporary rendition of the human form. The surface is a catalyst, behind and throughout his painting. His relief prints, stencils and photographs of the figure are used as supports, concluded chromatically in oil paint. These monotypes are exploring the isolation that often comes from displacement.
