Aisling McGarvey a full time art teacher at a London comprehensive secondary school. She is a painter and printmaker; using the Royal Drawing School Shoreditch print rooms to develop her practice in etchings and monotypes. Aisling’s practice is an investigation into mark making and colour in the search for form. She uses drawings and photography of the rugged landscape on the north west coast of Ireland as a starting point. However the playfulness of painting and printmaking begin to lead her decision making and enquiries to colour, marks, and space.
