Rose di Gleria's work explores the psychology of liminal spaces, drawing upon themes of permeability and impermanence. Through a series of monotype prints, she plays with light and space by repeatedly adding and removing ink with rags, brushes and rollers. This loose and gestural way of working is focused upon locations which are rarely considering beyond the fleeting moment of moving through, encouraging the viewer to sit and observe the energy of a liminal space. As she comes to the end of her A-Levels and time at school, Rose draws upon the essence of threshold and boundary in her life at present and uses printmaking to investigate this period of time.
