Marie Devaux’s work explores paint brush movements combined with unpredictable ink-pressing effects. Her Mono-Screen printing process consists of painting very freely on a blank screen and transferring the image onto paper. She experiments with the consistency, dryness and pigmentation of the ink to create intriguing textures and accentuated colour blends. She is known for her vivid portrayals of mountain landscapes and floral abstracts.Through a combination of photography, painting and printmaking, her work aims to convey the energy and emotions of the natural world into our daily lives. Through her 2023 floral series, she seeks to immortalise the radiant hue these fragile, short life-span natural beauties have onto sustainable work of art. She takes great joy in producing unique one-of-a-kind pieces that can only be created by the combination of both mediums (painting and screen printing). Marie has been printing for 7 years and her practice continues to evolve. She recently took part in various private events and art fairs such as The Other Art Fair in March 2023 and The London Illustration Art Fair 2022.
