Drawing and painterly mark making are prominent features within the technique of Rachel's printmaking. These aspects become tools to convey the experience felt when walking through the landscape and sailing at sea. Frequent changes of light, atmosphere and mood are expressed in etching, monoprint and carborundum processes. The prints become a personal diary that reflect Rachel's observations and sensory perceptions of landscape and seascapes.
