Olga Kapitanska creates in collagraph technique in combination with a dry point. Kapitanska's work is an interpretation of her current life and past experiences. They are based on the beauty of space, the mystery of existence, and human nature. In particular, she draws inspiration from all kinds of contrasts and collisions, transience, and processes of creation and destruction. Olga explores textures and plays with lines, shapes, composition, and tone. The use of leftovers, recycling, and unnecessary things gives her work a deeper meaning. The process of transience and destruction is an excuse to use disintegrating and no longer-needed packaging, which Olga successfully uses as a medium. The shapes of boxes, packaging, and foil are often visible in her works. She is attracted to unobvious beauty and all kinds of contrasts and collisions. She tries to capture both the atmosphere and the soul of the object. Olga graduated from John Dlugosz University in Poland with an MA(Hons) in Fine Arts, majoring in Easel Painting. She has exhibited throughout Europe. She has displayed work at The Tent Gallery in Edinburgh, The Ark, Dublin, and the ING Discerning Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London. She has several original works displayed in private collections throughout Great Britain, Poland, Europe and over the world.
