Lucio Mosner is a french printmaker working in Paris. In 2019, he graduated the Beaux-Arts de Paris final diploma. Etching has since become his main practice. Last year he fully deepened his learning of etching in the studio of a specialist of aquatint, Pablo Flaiszman, thanks to the "Savoir-faire en transmission" award delivered by Paris municipality for one year of internship. He combines the various technique of etching, aquatint, spit-bite but also dry-point, mostly on copper. Beyond all the graphical possibilities offered by etching, he is most of all fascinated by the analogies that exist between this technique and the memory process. He draws his inspiration from his memories of landscapes. Places that he encountered during daily life walks or traveling, between the urban world and the countryside. Landscape is not an end in itself but more a pretext for him to recreate a space where he can express his emotions through the work of light and clair-obscur. He tries to capture these instants when a landscape under a particular light can sometimes appear as an opening to another dimension, echoing the onirical world. During these instants of contemplation, landscapes leave their imprints on us. Etching is a way for him to dive into his memories, bringing them back to the surface of a copper plate and giving them a new life on paper, hopefully resonating with the viewer’s personal reminiscences. He has exhibited since 2019 in various independent and mixed shows, including : Saint-Sulpice's Contemporary Printmaking Day 2021 and 2022, Gravix 2022's finalists exhibition in Taylor fundation, Paris, a solo show in the House of Argentina of the International Universitary City of Paris in 2023 and collectives shows at Anaphora gallery in Paris 5th district.
