Susi Bellamy
£0.00
Susi has always been fascinated by the abstraction of landscape and the spaces in between left by her plasterer's trowel in her landscape painting. This investigation into strata, layers and shapes of undulating rock formations led to this series of Aquatint etchings which she printed in Florence. Aptly named a Field of Dreams, these works are an amalgamation in her mind of the places she has lived and travelled to. In particular the dramatic scenery in Monument Valley, USA, the hilltop villages in Tuscany and the wide vistas of her home environment in Northumberland. After 7 years living in Florence where she further explored her mixed media practice, Susi returned home and graduated in 2013 with a MA in Fine Art from Northumbria University.
