Sarah Duncan
£0.00
Sarah Duncan draws inspiration from the cyclical patterns of our planet to create her prints. Seeking beauty in the realms of science, astronomy and geology, her subject matters are composed of key elements that make up the natural world – water, stars, ice and snow, however underlying this are the activities that affect the planet’s fragile equilibrium.
Duncan graduated with a distinction in 2015 with a MA Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking, from the University of the West of England. She has exhibited widely, having her first solo show “ Syzgy” and group exhibitions and prizes including, John Ruskin Prize, Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Derwent Art Prize, and National Original Print Fair. This year she was nominated for the prestigious Queen Sonja Print Award, Norway.
Duncan’s recent series of prints “Ebb’, “Flux” and “Flow” are a playful juxtaposition of familiar landscapes which she has montaged with the moon.
“I continue to explore moments of transition and turbulence in the landscape. I choose to show the beauty rather than the devastation, a celebration of what we stand to lose.”
