Bingqing Liu graduated from the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in China in 2021 and is currently pursuing her studies in printmaking at the Royal College of Art.

Her artwork is inspired by the sounds of nature and minimalist, repetitive music. She is fascinated by the subtle emotional variations evoked by different tones. She attempts to capture these intangible elements—sounds, emotions, and memories—and to depict the inner order and perception through repeated lines and subtle layers.

Bingqing Liu's printmaking primarily involves dry point and etching techniques, with the final image produced through the process of overprinting. Her recent series of prints, "TRAJECTORY," explores the emotional internalization resulting from repetitive actions. Departing from using patterns to express emotions and sounds, she seeks to evoke a sense of quiet power through pure lines and subtle colors, engaging viewers' focus and inner sensations.

She engraves repeated lines of varying lengths on the plate and experiments with printing effects by randomly applying several extremely faint colors. Due to the subtle nature of the colors, her pieces appear almost white from afar. However, upon closer observation, one would notice that the white surface is composed of lines, each with unique lengths and colors.
