Rachel Barber is an artist living and working from her studio based in Cheshire in the North West of England._x000D_ She is printmaker currently working in the medium of mono and screen printing with mixed media._x000D_ She is inspired by nature, land and seascapes. In her work she is constantly trying to capture something of the atmosphere that she encounters when walking in the Peak District, along the coast of the LLyn Peninsular in North Wales or on her travels to other countries._x000D_ Rachel creates layers and textures to reflect light, movement and form.Her current process of mono and then screen printing layers of images that are taken from her own drawings and photographs results in each print being unique. Rachel then works onto the prints with mixed media to give detail. Rachel uses two processes of mono printing, painting though a screen and inking onto a plate with rollers which is passed though a press._x000D_ This method is used repeatedly though her work, as there is an element that cannot be controlled though the process, which can reveal wonderful unexpected results.
