Victoria Achache is a winter and printmaker living in London. She started printmaking when she discovered drypoint with chine colle. Firstly a drawing is scratched onto a plate and inked with black. Secondly the Chinese paper is painted then the black drawing printed over it. The images have evolved from her paintings, but have been distilled by the medium. They combine a freshness of line and colour, with the special texture of the Chinese paper. She has had many shows of paintings and prints in London and Europe.
