Jan Barceló explores perception of images through effects in printed works. Playing with the way we perceive reality and how it can easily be altered, he leads us to question what is real and what is illusion in what we see. His projects are the result of a line of investigation in perception, composition and image and the relation between printed colours and light and how they can create animation effects. His latest Installations may combine prints in a modular way to create murals, interaction with RGB light or printed moving objects depicted as mechanical sculptures that present a « moare » effect  to create moving illusion. Barceló graduated from graphic design at BAU university in Barcelona and specialized in screen printing at Willem de Kooning university in Rotterdam, attended residences all over the world and actually is the head of LA RODA printing studio in Barcelona. His works have been displayed in many festivals and public spaces in the form of interactive installations, performance and set design.
