Saad Ahmad's work delves into the absurdity of life and reflects his attentive gaze towards its expressions and intriguing occurrences. He employs a combination of staged photographs, drawings, and juxtapositions to create a visual dialogue within his imagery. Through these layered elements, he invokes and playfully manipulates common settings, animals, and landscapes, pulling in viewers into a mysterious and theatrical interpretation of life. Ahmad sees the imagery of life as a reference point that not only reflects a historical context but also encompasses a company of people, representing the past, present, and future. The tonal and light play in his work, particularly in blending the background and foreground, reflects his curiosity about the ongoing dialogue happening at that particular moment. In his recent work, Ahmad comments on social and private settings, approaching them from an absurd perspective. He explores these settings by combining printmaking with various other mixed media techniques, deliberately subverting the viewer's understanding. Through this approach, Ahmad conveys his narrative in a way that challenges conventional interpretations and invites viewers to question their preconceived notions. By blending different mediums, he creates a unique visual language that adds depth and complexity to his exploration of social and private spheres.
