Vic Sayers produces limited prints that capture the light and atmosphere of terrains she has hiked across. She has recently also started working with the human form, finding sculptural echoes in the the play of light and shade across the human landscape. Vic uses a variety of printing techniques and materials including lino and woodcut, most recently experimenting with solar prints and mixed media. Vic likes to incorporate texture and movement into her images, sometimes by hand burnishing, sometimes incorporating mono print techniques or hand finishing individual prints. She enjoys finding ways to cross boundaries between disciplines such as sketching, painting and printing to make use of the unique characteristics of each within one image.
