Wavelength is a woodblock print cooperation between Merlyn Chesterman and Rod Nelson, who have worked together over many years in a spirit of enthusiasm for the medium. They have published two books on the subject.

The subject matter is a universal theme which has long been of fascination to artists in both Western and Eastern traditions. We are regarding these works as essays in the portrayal of the movement of energy through a medium, and consider them as work-in-progress and essentially exploratory in nature.
To work freely and fluently at a very large scale requires a confidence and commitment which has taken years to develop. The scale of this work benefits from the collaborative
approach, not least because the work presents technical and logistical as well as artistic challenges.

Merlyn is on the Council of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers and Rod is an Associate Member.
Their individual and collective work has been exhibited at numerous exhibitions both in the United Kingdom and overseas.
