Ian O’Halloran’s work explores the shapes, rhythms and patterns of the landscape.
By utilising multi block relief printing he invites the viewer to engage with the mystery, history and hidden stories of the landscape.
After a career in Civil Engineering he studied art at Eastbourne College in 1989.
Having started his artistic career as a painter he is able to bring a unique, painters approach to printmaking and uses colour to express his emotional connection with the places that inspire him.
He has exhibited widely in numerous group shows, galleries and art festivals, including:
Atelier beside the Sea Open 2023
He was longlisted for the Jacksons Art Prize 2024
Has work reproduced on ‘The Artists Bridge’ (Hailsham) and on one of TN Lawrence’ paper pads.
He is also a member of The Sussex Arts Collective and shows regularly with them.
