Emma Fitzpatrick was born in Dublin and is based in Leicester. Her landscape work revolves around printmaking using monotype mixed with dry point and etching.
Her work has been influenced by the natural landscape of the West Coast of Ireland and the UK and inspired by its dramatic weather fronts and primordial feel.
Each image goes through a lot of change on the plate through adding and rubbing away of ink until finally one ‘moment in time’ is captured when put through the press.
Emma was awarded a ‘Develop your Creative Practice’ grant from Arts Council England in 2019 to develop her work as a printmaker.
She has shown work in annual exhibitions including the Royal Society of British Artists, the Graphic Society of Fine Art, Society of Women Artists, Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin and several Woolwich Contemporary Print Fairs.
