Lauren Moore is a London-based contemporary artist. Her work is a response to her insatiable need to mark make.

By working with thick layers of paint, Moore creates spontaneous hand-touched artworks. Each hand movement and brushstroke clearly leaving its mark. Layering these and her own sketches, intuitively playing and exploring colour and texture, layering and revealing to create surface landscapes.

Moore’s recent series of prints, Where the flowers once were is the artist reflecting on the fine natural balance, that there are no flowers without bees. Exploring how to visualise a world without bees and the subsequent absence of nature.

Moore graduated from Surrey Institute of Art and Design in 2007.

Moore will be exhibiting in the Jealous Needs You show in London in the summer of 2022.
