Sherrie-Leigh Jones is an Artist and Printmaker based in Brighton. She studied Fine Art Printmaking at the University of Brighton and draws inspiration from nature and Japanese prints and concepts, including the woodblock printmaking movement known as Shin-hanga, and Sansuiga - paintings that depict an idealised landscape using the forms of mountains, rivers, clouds and mist. To create her prints she assembles collages using photographs taken on her travels and walks in the English countryside, combining them with painted elements. The compositions are then taken into the print studio to be exposed on screens and hand pulled as screenprints, often printed with graphite and pigments. Jones exhibits in the UK and internationally, including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2021) and Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair. Work is held in the Artelium collection, Jeremy Cooper's Collection and private collections in the UK, Europe, USA and Taiwan. She has been commissioned by Artelium Wine to create labels for their collaborative Nature Series Cuvée, 2018 Vintage with Vagabond Wines (2025), and fashion label, To Be Adored (tba), which featured on the front cover of Grazia China (2013). Her work has received support and recognition from a-n and Arts Council England (2020), Woolwich Contemporary Editions (2018) and Print Futures Award (2015).
