Will Creech is a full-time architect and part-time printmaker specializing in the Cyanotype process. Originally from Cornwall and raised primarily in Salisbury, he is now based in London, where he has lived since graduating from Kingston University with a Master’s degree in Architecture in 2015. Creech’s printmaking practice is heavily influenced by his architectural background. His Cyanotypes often explore themes of the built environment, manipulating light, shadow, and transparency. He typically creates negatives using layered paper or film to block light in varying degrees, producing the distinct spectrum of blue tones that characterize his work. Occupying a space between photography and printmaking, the Cyanotype process appeals to Creech for its rich depth of colour and inherent unpredictability—each print reveals its final form only after development, making the process as engaging as the outcome.
