Rômulo Avi (b. 1992) is a Brazilian artist and currently based in London, UK. Originally graduating in 2017 with a BA in Architecture and Urbanism in Brazil, he later studied at the Florence Academy of Art before moving to London. He has recently graduated from his MFA (hons) at CGLAS, with his studio work focusing on heavily layered painting, supported by drawing and printmaking. Transience and the esoteric weave through his work: Stories, dreams, and imagined worlds act as shifting undercurrents, less interested in depicting the world than conjuring its felt presence.
