Emma Fitzpatrick work is inspired by the dramatic weather fronts and primordial feel of the West Coast of Ireland landscape. Her work revolves around the use of monotype mixed with dry point and etching. Each image undergoes many changes on the plate, with layers of ink added and rubbed away, until a single ‘moment in time’ is finally captured as it passes through the press. Emma was awarded a ‘Develop your Creative Practice’ grant from Arts Council England in 2019 to develop her work as a printmaker. She has shown work in annual exhibitions including the Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, Graphic Society of Fine Art, Society of Women Artists, Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin and several Woolwich Contemporary Print Fairs.
