Matthew Lintott's work is about deep time and space, explored through the past, the wild and the remote. His practice is centred around an experimental approach to relief printmaking, specialising in woodblock. Traditional Japanese woodblock techniques have been a major influence, which has led him to print by hand without the use of a printing press. Lintott graduated from The University of the West of England in 2021 with an MA in Multi-disciplinary Printmaking. Upon graduation he was awarded the Peter Reddick Award and Printmaking Today Editorial Prize. He has exhibited widely since 2016. Solo shows in Bristol UK and Minnesota USA. Mixed exhibition highlights include The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, The Royal Society of British Artists, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair and the International Original Print Exhibition. Matthew is based in Bristol working out of the BRICKS studio spaces
