Strabo's artwork explores the interplay between the seen world and the imagined landscapes of the mind. Strabo has an affinity for expansive, borderless spaces, and seeks to combine reality and the illusionary in her prints. Her art is intimately connected to her love of the natural world and is inspired by symbols and dreams. While exploring landscapes through the use of light, shadow and pattern, she searches to connect these inner and outer worlds. Moved by the environment in her surroundings, Strabo's work invites the viewer into her imaginary world. Her process involves building up multiple layers of etching ink and running each monotype through the press multiple times. The marks are made with multiple tools such as rollers, toothpicks, and rags for wiping the plate. Strabo's recent series of monotypes are from her series Walking Reflections. Strabo is a self-taught artist, and she began printmaking at Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle in 2016. Strabo's work was in the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair in 2023 and 2024. Strabo participated in the Small But Mighty Exhibition in 2024 at The Royal Society of Painters and Printmakers at the Bankside Gallery in London. Additionally, two of her monotypes were selected to be in the 9th Biennial Footprint International Exhibition at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk, Connecticut in 2024. Strabo's work has been shown at Davidson Galleries in Seattle for the Contemporary Northwest Print Invitational in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Most recently in 2025, her work was in a group show at Domicile Gallery in Seattle. Strabo has participated in numerous other national and international juried shows such as Manhattan Graphics 5th New York International Print Exhibition in 2022 and the The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition Print Show in 2021. Strabo received the Presidential Purchase Award for her monotype print in the 2022 Full Court Press Juried Print Exhibition of the Americas.
