Susan Davies
£0.00
Susan's work is a response to the natural world and its landscape.
Working from sketches, she draws directly onto a copper mezzotint plate and creates images by scraping and burnishing, inviting the viewer in to feel depth, detail and mood.
Susan's recent prints explore a deeper meaning between subject and its mythology, or a simple fleeting moment. Often portraying a narrative, her work invokes a freedom of spirit and mindful escape. Her work encourages all to pause and watch the wildflowers dance.
Drawing since childhood, Susan studied Fine Art at Stourbridge College of Art and Design, and trained as a miniaturist at Halcyon Days Enamels Ltd. As one of their Premier Artists for over 25 years, she hand-painted vitreous enamels for clients worldwide, including Japanese and English royalty.
Working as a professional artist since 2013, Susan retrained in vitreous enamel kiln work, and has been printmaking for the last four years.
