MARIA NATHAN
£0.00
MARIA NATHAN's works are all about movement, in social evolution, in mythologies, in one's stories and in human bodies also.
From drawing to printing and in egg tempera painting as well sketches are taken in different layers, as palimpsestes. In this way characters are made, the same way the unconscious is built.
Nathan's recent series of prints, shown here for the first time, are made from sketches of Mythologies, a ballet from Angelin Prejlojak, and thinking about the evolution of mythologies too, from figurative images to abstraction.
Maria Nathan is a Pediatrics Psychiatrist, working with children and adolescents from the last 40 years; in parallel with her practice, drawing began to take a considerable place. She studied drawing and printing in Paris and London.
She has exhibited in Paris, Miami and Madrid.
Some of her printings are in private collections.
