Kaidi Dunstan

£0.00
Kaidi Dunstan’s art practice encompasses drawing and painting alongside wood/wax and bronze sculpture and makes use of found images/objects obscured yet familiar within a language of figurative forms. By a process of making and honing, established relationships are often sacrificed and reworked leading to a layering of decision, a palimpsest state of temporary balance. In this series of mono prints Dunstan uses stencils to improvise linkage, movement and rhythm. The simplicity of stencils allows intuitive freedom of play and surprise. Dunstan is largely self taught in the arts with a skillset based in building musical instruments and furniture. Her early life in rural Wyoming, USA was a fruitful period of being left to one’s own devices with freedom to wander in the sagebrush and woods, engaging with animals and insects. She spent 2 years up until Covid taking printmaking classes from Katherine Jones RA at the Art Academy in London. She lives and works in London.
