Jonas Wolff is a London-based artist and graphic designer who explores the relationship between the real and the virtual in the digital age.
He is interested in (pre)history and mythology and how images have shaped perceptions of the world around us. In his work he often links the digital and the analogue, the old and the new, to create portals that connect two worlds.
His work Dark Forest is a photopolymer print of a fictional medieval landscape. The landscape was digitally painted using textures from the game Age of Empires II, set in the Middle Ages. Influenced by medieval stories and the game itself, the image weaves together new and old myths and techniques, ultimately allowing the viewer to discover their own little narratives within it.
Jonas Wolff has recently graduated with an MA in Print at Royal College of Art in 2023.
