Jessica Albarn is known for her fascination with insects; particularly spiders and bees. This has led her into the land of Faerie with her first book ‘The Boy in the Oak’ which she has written and illustrated. It is a dark tale where it is never wise to trust a Faerie. She has recently made a short film of the book and is currently working towards the feature whilst drawing more bees! This print was produced for the 2011 Ghosts of Gone Birds Portfolio and Exhibition at the Rochelle School, and is now part of the V&A print collection.
