Thomas Parkhouse

£0.00
Thomas Parkhouse makes copper plate etchings that are inspired by stories and poems.

He uses the different processes in printing, such as acid exposing accidental marks alongside intentional lines when biting plates and using aquatint to create even blocks of tone, in order to turn initial ideas and sketches into something more layered and sculptural. Underlying this approach is an enjoyment in making and a desire to find patterns and connect or make new associations with the source material.

Thomas graduated from The Slade in 2017, and was awarded the Anthony Dawson Print Prize and the Max Werner Drawing Prize. He has exhibited at the Woolwich Print Fair for the last 6 years.
