Susie was born and raised in South London and studied Fine Art for four years at Leeds University, receiving 1st Class Honours for her work in painting and sculpture. A love of fashion led her into a career as an award-winning designer and couturier, opening her first atelier in 2010 making bespoke clothes on Bermondsey Street. After seven years designing and making one-off luxury garments she moved into fashion illustration. The creative freedom of this process reignited Susie’s love of creating art and informs the content and style of her work today. Influenced by contemporary portraiture, fashion photography and fashion illustration, Susie’s work is a celebration of women, colour and personal style. There is a definitely a designer’s eye to the work, as it is graphic and evokes the mood of a fashion editorial.
