Nebbia’s work explores relationships and how we occupy space. Her recent work considers differing perspectives, cultures and histories with references to still life, landscape, the city, architecture and geography on macro and micro levels. Light plays an important part in providing apertures of spaces; both individual and collective. The work submitted here explores multiple lines of tension: between line and space, detail and context, saturation and surface, noise and silence. We are engaged with questions not only of Nebbia’s mark making, but our own engagement with these. Recent exhibitions include Royal Academy Summer show, Sassoon Gallery Folkestone, Hospital Rooms at Hauser & Wirth. Her work is in a number of collections in the UK, Europe and US.
