Robyn Maclennan

£0.00
Robyn is a printmaker and photographer who uses multiple processes such as photopolymer, etching and cyanotypes to explore the landscape and our connections to it.
Robyn’s research and practice explores how ecoGothic theory can be used to re-examine our relationship with nature and how fear has permeated our perceptions of the non-human world. She is particularly interested in the links between the darkness found in the ecoGothic and the necessity of darkness to her photography and printmaking practice as well as how understanding the agency of both the natural world and the works she produces can grant us a better understanding of the world around us.
The prints exhibited here showcase the most recent developments in her research as her photographic practice moves towards a slower, more sustainable process reflective of the analogue, hand-made nature of printmaking.
Robyn holds an MA in Fine Art and is currently a PhD candidate at London College of Communication.
Robyn has exhibited across the UK both independently and in larger group shows. Highlights include her solo exhibition “The EcoGothic Forest” at Dubrek Gallery in 2024, the Derby Print Open 2023 at which she won the Dubrek Studios Award and the “Withheld” exhibition in London (2022).
