Hannah Gilson

£0.00
Hannah Gilson is an award winning artist whose mixed media practice combines painting, screen printing and drawing. Evolving from a predominately fine arts background, her work has naturally settled with illustration and printmaking.

Hannah discovered art and visual pop culture during long hours spent in record shops as a child. She passed the time by looking at the album covers and this sparked an interest in the relationship between art, music and storytelling.

She was awarded the Boodle Hatfield Print making prize for her work ‘l’ll Bring You Flowers’. This work comes from a series which explores concepts of femininity and womanhood, through playful narratives, pop culture references and the subversion of traditionally domestic and ornate objects.

She showcases works both here in the UK and internationally through art fairs, auctions and is represented by Air Contemporary Gallery.
