PLATFORM EARTH

For this year’s edition Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair has invited Platform Earth to exhibit screen-print editions from their CARBON Collection, which brings together leaders in the contemporary art world to address the art industry’s carbon footprint. The collection embodies the charity’s mission to employ the arts to address climate change, using culture to promote climate positivity and carbon neutrality. The artworks are made with an innovative carbon-negative black ink made from recycled air pollution developed by Graviky Labs. The ink itself is created by harvesting carbon directly from exhaust fumes, with each pen containing 40 minutes worth of air pollution from a single car.

The collection includes works by Marina ABRAMOVIĆ, Jake CHAPMAN, Charlotte COLBERT, Philip COLBERT, Es DEVLIN, Ben OKRI & Rosemary CLUNIE, Nigel COOKE, Keith COVENTRY, Daniel CREWS-CHUBB, Shezad DAWOOD, Tracey EMIN, Brian ENO, Anthony GORMLEY, Rachel HOWARD, Wolfe VON LENIEWICZ, Alastair & Fleur MACKIE, Carolina MAZZOLARI, Kate MCCGWIRE, Haroon MIRZA, A. A. MURAKAMI, Cornelia PARKER, Emilie PUGH, Petroc SESTI, Conrad SHAWCROSS, Nicole STOTT, Keith TYSON, Mark WALLINGER, Sue WEBSTER, Rachel WHITEREAD, Alison WILDING.
