DELIVERY

delivery options

If successful you can deliver your artworks to IMPRINT the following ways:

  • In person at Imprint Art Fair site

  • Via our Regional Drop offs

  • Via our Framing Service

Send your framed work internationally to our workshop

REQUIREMENTS FOR DELIVERING WORK

In an effort to be as sustainable and efficient as possible we dont accept works wrapped in single use bubblewrap.

Participants must package their artwork in reusable protective sleeves - example image included with a link to the stockists. These are the cheapest options available and will save yourselves time and money in the long run.

All sleeves will be returned to the drop off point even in the event of a sale so they can be reused by the artist.

CHECKLIST

  • All works must be delivered in a secure reusable protective pouch. See recommended supplier here.

  • Please include 1 browser edition if applicable (editioned works) this must be backed with sturdy foamboard and wrapped in cellophane.

  • Log in to your artist portal and print the label. Artist’s name and title of the individual work will appear on the label along with a QR code which allows us to chec your individual works in. Please stick your label to the front of pouch with duct tape. A photo of the work attached to the front of the package is highly recommended.

  • All works (framed and browser) must have the name of the artist and title of the work on the back.

Please Note: We cannot accept any responsibility for the protection of any works delivered wrapped in single use bubblewrap if returned unsold. Artworks delivered in this manner will be removed from their protective packaging for display and will be returned as such if unsold.

Regional Drop off Service

With the help of our supportive partners, we have collated a list of Drop Off Locations around the UK, where exhibiting artists can drop off their work to then be transported to the event.

This is a free service.

Find the details for each by clicking into them:

Please note: All unsold artwork will be sent back to its associated drop off point after the fair has concluded.

international Shipping

All works must be sent to:

Imprint Framing
c/o The Frame House
Unit 5c, No. 1 Industrial Estate
Consett
Co. Durham
DH8 6SR
United Kingdom

Artists are responsible for all shipping costs, including courier fees, customs charges, and any return costs if applicable. Works must arrive by 16 October 2026.

Packaging Requirements

To ensure your work arrives safely:

  • Ship prints flat wherever possible (preferred).

  • Use archival tissue or glassine to protect the print surface.

  • Sandwich prints between rigid boards (e.g., foam board or thick card).

  • Use strong outer packaging with corner protection.

  • Clearly label the package: “Fine Art Prints – Handle with Care.”

Avoid using tubes unless absolutely necessary, as rolled prints may need time to flatten before framing.

Customs & Documentation (For Artists Outside the UK)

Since the UK is outside the EU customs union, all international shipments must include proper customs documentation.

Required Forms

  • Commercial Invoice (3 copies recommended)

  • CN22 or CN23 customs declaration (depending on shipment value and courier)

  • Any courier-specific paperwork (DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc.)

How to Complete the Commercial Invoice

Include:

  • Sender’s full name and address

  • Recipient address (as above)

  • Description of goods:

“Limited edition fine art print on paper”

  • HS Code (recommended):

9702.00.00 (Original engravings, prints and lithographs)

  • Country of origin

  • Quantity

  • Individual value and total value

  • Currency

  • Reason for export (see below)

Important: Declare Correctly

To avoid import VAT and customs charges, clearly state: “Artwork sent on consignment. No transfer of ownership. For exhibition and potential sale.”

If the works are unsold and returned to you, this wording supports temporary export status. You may also consider using the term: “Temporary export for exhibition”

Check with your courier about whether they offer:

  • Temporary admission procedures

  • Returned Goods Relief (RGR)

  • ATA Carnet (usually for high-value shipments)

Additional Recommendations

  • Keep digital copies of all paperwork.

  • Photograph the print and packaging before dispatch.

  • Share tracking information once shipped.

  • Allow extra time for customs clearance (especially during peak periods).
