Rosey Prince’s work looks at places where urban and rural meet, where the human impact on the landscape is in evidence and is concerned with the social and environmental implications of this relationship. Her prints are predominantly drypoint, mezzotint and monotype made in her studio from photographs, drawings and memory. These prints were made in response to frequent walks along the estuary and towards the Isle of Grain.  The wet and desolate landscape where sky and land meld into one lends itself to inky monotypes and the velvety drypoint lines.
She has exhibited her prints widely including a number of prestigious exhibitions such as Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2013, 2017, 2022, 23), Discerning Eye (2015), National and Original Print Exhibition 2018, 2019 (winning the East London Printmakers Prize 2019), The Masters: Etching, Bainbridge Open Print Exhibition (winning the Framing Library Prize 2018) and has exhibited at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair 2017, 2018, 2020-23 (winning the John Purcell Prize 2017 and the Artichoke Printmakers Prize 2021).
Rosey Prince works from a studio in South East London and has been a member of Artichoke Printmakers since 2010.  Since participating in Turps Painting Programme 2019-23 painting and printmaking are both integral to her practice.
