Sally Grumbridge is a visual artist based in West London who works with paint, mixed media and printmaking. She loves experimenting with different printmaking processes, from photo etching to collagraph to relief, often combining different techniques and using recycled materials. Personal, historical or cultural subjects form the basis of her work.

Both the concepts of place and space often feature in her work. When travelling, Sally loves to observe people, places, and the different cultures she encounters, reinterpreting observational photographs and often using photograph printmaking processes.

In response to the empty London streets during the Covid lockdowns, she made a series of prints entitled ‘Empty Spaces’, printing the backs of old 15 x 15 cm etching plates.

Sally shows and sells her work in solo and group exhibitions in London, which has included the RA Summer Exhibition, and throughout the UK. She has also exhibited in France, Italy and Spain and her work is in collections as far afield as Australia, Canada, Austria, France and Spain. She teaches printmaking to adults at Kite Studios in Shepherd’s Bush and is a member of the Printmakers Council and The Artists Pool. Sally has a BA (Hons) in public art from Surrey University and studied post graduate graphic and experimental printmaking at the London College of Communications (part of the UAL).
