Liis Tedre (born 1976) acquired the bachelor's degree in graphics in Estonian Academy of Arts and is a member of the Association of Printmakers of Estonia.
In her works, she tells playful stories using everyday objects. He is interested in the universal and timeless rules of the world, seeing similarities and contradictions in the functioning of nature and human worlds. At the moment, she "packages" nature views in unusual forms on her graphic prints.
She has participated in 2022 at the top triennal event of Estonian graphics - the Wiiralt prize competition group exhibition, the "Muhuversum" international group exhibition and since spring 2023, has had three personal exhibitions and participated in several group exhibitions in Estonia.
She highly values the feeling of holding graphic paper in her hand - its relief, structure and sensitivity, creating both flat, more traditional graphics as well as works with new authoring techniques that offer playfulness and unpredictability. Recently, she has combined toned cyanotype with relief print and etching techniques in his creations.
