Faith is a printmaker from North Cornwall. Her work captures fleeting moments and precious glimpses of our fragile natural world.

Her preferred technique is drypoint intaglio, a process that involves drawing directly onto a plate with etching tools. This creates pieces which have irresistible rich velvety burr lines.

Recent pieces revolves around her love of animals and many of them have a humorous perspective, which capture some of the fascinating little characters she has observed. But beneath the humour lies a deep concern about environmental changes to our world causing so many magnificent species to suffer, lose habitats and face extinction.

Shown here are near-threatened Plains Zebra foals (Equus quagga) examining each other. One of the foals was born without the typical black and white stripes, instead displaying a brown coat with spots and stripes. This anomaly leaves the foal particularly vulnerable to predators due to its lack of camouflage within the surroundings, and the herd.

In her recent piece, 'Fake Goats?', Faith explores a fascinating Moroccan spectacle where goats seemingly perch in argan trees. However, reports suggest they are likely coerced for tourist allure. While goats do enjoy argan fruit and can climb trees, extended perching seems unnatural. This piece underscores her broader theme of extinction and the challenges faced by species in our evolving human-dominated world. She aims to provoke reflection on our impact and inspire action for conservation.

Faith trained at Falmouth School of Art and DeMontfort University achieving a BA (Hons) Visual Arts and a PCGE in Art and Design Education. Her work has been selected for prestigious exhibitions such as WCPF and The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
