Pavel Slutskiy is a Bangkok-based printmaker who specialises in drypoint intaglio prints of golf courses. He finds these landscapes beautiful and fascinating, and has been working on an ongoing project called "Fairways" that explores these spaces in a variety of styles. Using copper plates and a drypoint technique, Pavel creates that capture the unique character of each course, as well as weather conditions. From the lush fairways to the challenging greens, his work aims to create a sense of place and atmosphere that draws the viewer in and invites them to explore. Printmaking is a tactile and rewarding process, and Pavel enjoys the challenge of working with the materials and techniques. He hopes that his work inspires others to appreciate the beauty of golf courses, and to see these man-made spaces in a new way. "Fairways" is an ongoing project for Pavel, and he's always looking for new courses to explore and new ways to capture their essence through his prints.
