Jingxuan Lyu is a Chinese artist working across printmaking and shifted contexts. Born in China in 1998, Jingxuan completed a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art in 2016 and obtained a Master's in Visual Communication – Illustration at the University of the Arts London in 2021. She was raised in Nanjing, studied in Guangzhou, moved to Shanghai, and lives in London. New contexts and cultural collisions made her work incorporate a multi-lingual narrative. Jingxuan's interdisciplinary research focuses on applying geo-anthropology methodology in contemporary art fieldwork. She concentrates on migration, landscape, and contexts from 2020 to 2022. Attempting to visualise ethnography by using anthropological research methods in illustration practices, Jingxuan put herself at the origin of the axis to investigate an individual's position with migration. Dedicating to investigating the diversity of contemporary art and telling cross-context narratives from real people. Her printmaking artworks have been exhibited in Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and shortlisted in New Contemporaries 2023. She has exhibited widely in China and Uk including a Solo exhibition in FOR Gallery, "Hyperlink" Exhibition, Guangzhou and Shanghai, Kensington Town Hall, London.
