“Out of the shadows” is a series of photopolymer prints Dave Stone’s art practice is centred in collaboration and community engagement. The prints on show developed as a response to a schools residency experience. The residency involved young pupils directly in a process of mask-making and shadow play, which provided a platform for them to explore their creativity and develop their imaginative responses. As an artist, he is committed to creating works that engage and inspire people of all ages and backgrounds. He believes that art has the power to bring people together, create meaningful connections, and foster a sense of belonging. The image on show is a celebration of this belief, and a reminder of the transformative power of art. The print series “Out of the Shadows” is intentionally enigmatic and open to interpretation in order to elicit an imaginative response from the viewer.
