DADA FROST’s work explores ideas based on geometric shapes and colour. Using screenprint as a tool to play with colour, overlays, simple graphic shapes, joining edges together, turning the paper around until she likes what she sees. Until the physical printing happens, it is always open to change which allows the freedom to make spontaneous decisions, using instinct to form the final composition. Printing like this allows lots of options to experiment without having to re-expose screens. This method results in small editions or unique one-off prints. DADA FROST’s most recent series of screenprints is created by pulling many layers of a rectangle shape using vibrant colours including neon inks. DADA FROST aka DeAnne Frost, is an American-born graphic designer and screen printer based in Scotland.
