Anna McDowell is a multi-disciplinary artist working predominantly with printmaking and hand-embroidery. This year she graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Print. McDowell’s recent body of work, of which 'Performing Circumference' is part of, employs found photography and printmaking to explore the phenomenology of art practice. Drawing from psychoanalytic theory, McDowell's work attempts to articulate a primordial essence stirring at the heart of creative encounter.
