Eska Marsh
£0.00
Eska Marsh’s devilish drypoint etchings are an eerie assortment of oddities inspired by dark tales and unloved objects.
By using heavy texture of lines and playing with the density of ink on the plate, Eska’s painterly style of etchings appear to the viewer like aged old relics of a forgotten past. They invite the viewer to decipher what message is being conveyed, with the aid of play on words, sometimes provoking an uncomfortableness in the viewer.
Eska’s recent series of prints, ‘Love Will Be the Death of Us’, part shown here for the first time are the accumulation of 6 months work, exploring playfully dark themes of fate, fortune, grief and loss.
Eska graduated from Falmouth University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Craft.
Since 2016 Eska has widely exhibited across the UK, including 2 solo shows. This year Eska has been recognised as one to watch, highlights include featuring on the front cover of international print publication Pressing Matters’ (Issue 21) with an 8-page article and most recently being selected for the Summer Exhibition at The Royal Academy of Arts 2023.
Her limited edition work is shown in selected galleries and art’s houses in England and Wales.
